Form 1382 was created in 1931 by designer Hermann Gretsch to “get to the heart of things”. The design has been endlessly copied but this is the authentic original.

More about the Company- Arzberg

Arzberg have been creating designer porcelain since 1931 at a time when the word “Designer” was a new concept.

Their company motto is “timeless yet contemporary” and their aim is to make porcelain that is both beautiful and useful.

When graduate engineer Hermann Gretsch complained that no one made a soup tureen that allowed the last remnants of soup to be served out, the director of Arzberg challenged him to do better. So he did, creating his first range (Form 1382) for Arzberg in 1931.

Arzberg has won numerous design awards and is now the only authorised porcelain manufacturer for the German federal chancellery.
